Pdf (Portable Document Format)

PDF (Portable Document Format) is a file format independent of application software, computer or operating system. It was presented by Adobe in 1993, as a way to share documents amongst users of disparate digital platforms, such as documents, presentations, illustrations, photographs, etc. It is now the de facto standard for sharing fixed format electronic documents online.

PDF format is the standard for Graphic Arts as well. It’s a format used in a variety of page processing, word processing, design software etc. It can be printed in various printers, from inkjet printers to Computer to Plate systems, even in high resolution digital offset printers.
